Selling Jewellery and Diamonds at Canada Gold - Mississauga
At our Mississauga location, people bring in everything from heirloom rings to everyday chains. We begin each visit with one simple promise: your offer is based on what we verify in store. Hallmarks can guide us, but testing tells the full story, and we will complete that testing in front of you.
Many items arrive stamped 22K. In our experience, a number of these pieces analyse at 19.5 karat, which equals 81.25% gold. This is common with jewellery from parts of South Asia, including India and Pakistan. If your item confirms at 22K, your quote reflects that purity. If it confirms at 19.5K, we show you the result and price accordingly. The goal is accuracy, not guesswork, and consistent pricing across all of our locations.
Here is how the process works when you visit:
- We examine the piece with you present
- We perform non-destructive tests to confirm purity and weight
- We walk through the numbers in plain language and write the offer clearly
We also buy diamond jewellery. Individual diamond pricing applies when a single stone is natural, not lab grown, not colour treated and weighs 0.40 carat or more
When a diamond meets these criteria, we evaluate its size, cut, quality, colour and clarity, then explain how each factor affects value. Smaller stones are usually grouped and priced as melee, or the offer focuses on the precious metal in the piece. If a stone does not qualify for individual pricing, we still detail how we arrived at the final number.
